Any E70 X5 owners?

Good day, I've decided to buy a 2007 4.8i X5....Why? Just look under my user name!

It's Space Grey with black leather, factory Style 211 19's. Almost fully loaded, save the Sports package and rear entertainment system. It has ~125,000km on it and was fully serviced at the dealer. I'll be getting it in a couple of weeks.

Anyone have any input good /bad about the E70's?

I hear G-Power makes a s/c'r for it.......

Wife had an '08 4.8i and it was a great vehicle. Fully loaded and didn't have any problems with it. She now has a '12

I personally loved the 4.8i engine, nice grunt and sounds good too. Just keep an eye on the tires. I didnt have any issues, but I know a few people who have seen bad inner tire wear and went through tires. Seems like you need to keep an eye on the alignment perhaps. Bit of a gas guzzler, but so is the ///M so doesnt matter to me.

Congrats! Enjoy!

My wife has a 2012, but with the turbo 6 cylinder motor. I hate it!!!! Its boring, dull, horrible ride, both on 18 and 19s. Its fully loaded, but I can't stand it. Hopefully the 4.8 is better.

She had a 2006 E53 4.8is before, regret selling it. Was a great truck, horrid mpg though.

Lol....

Wifey has a fully loaded '10 with the 3.0 turbo diesel. When the roads are crappy the xDrive is awesome. Fuel mileage is a dream, with her getting just under 800km a tank.

But nothing beats the ride of my M. Corporate gas card helps with my heavy right foot.

i have an 07 with the 3.0 and 20s. i second the alignment comments. ran my set of dunlop runflats and didnt realize the rear had so much negative camber. corded the inside edge. switched to conti dws and aligned it. no deterioration in handling really and tires arent getting hammered. the rear negative camber was like 2.5 i think which is more than my m3 set up for the track.

Did you follow the stock alignment specs? Or did you go conservative on the camber?

I would have to look at the printout. I think we disregarded the factory specs and did our own thing. Not like I take the X5 on the track. If I remember we went with neutral front toe slight negative rear and more conservative camber rear with factory front.

When you have time, I'd love to see the specs you went with!!
