Congrats on the new ride. Nice pics and the car looks great! Love the group shot there. Sounds like it was well worth the wait.

Did you deal with Art at Gary Shelton? I spoke with him about a purchase. Great guy and I would purchase from him in the future. Very straight up, unlike the games a lot of dealerships play.

P.S. Don't go for Carbotech XP8s (we were talking about this earlier). I went through a set of fronts entirely in 2 days. Go for more agressive compound.
Thanks, lucid. I saw your earlier post on the Carbotechs, but thanks for the heads up. That's very disappointing. Sounds like the Pagids are the better deal, even though they're more than twice as expensive. I'll look around for other options as well.

Where did you get them from?
Thanks. You can get the clear reflectors and smoked reflectors on ebay for about $70.

Pitkis, your pictures are MUCH better than mine. They really show off how good IB looks in certain lights.

I'm very, very happy that I waited a little longer for the '09 model and to get the exact build that I wanted. It was also a great time meeting up in College Station. I'll definitely be back up that way once I've broken the car in to go to Texas World Speedway and see what this car has in her.

By the way, I don't know if you already have a clear bra on your car or if you're interested, but Robert at Detailed Autos would be worth the trip to College Station. You couldn't meet a nicer guy who will spend the time to make sure every last detail is perfect. His prices are also extremely reasonable. I can't tell you how impressed I am with my clear bra.

Art is a great guy, but I dealt with the same CA I used before, Ron Elms. Also another straight shooter. The staff at Garlyn Shelton is excellent all around. They're very down to earth, good people. That's one reason why I've been willing to drive an hour and a half to buy from them.

To everyone else, thanks again for all the compliments. I actually enjoy driving to work on the morning now.

Others in our group made the same comments. Parked next to each other, the Montego and IB look very different, but neither makes the other look flat or ugly. The Montego has a cool electric look to it, while the IB has a very deep, rich quality.

The pedals are the OEM kit that originally came out for the E46, but they'll work on the E9X. The part number for the kit is 35 00 0 304 642. Your dealer would probably charge you $85, but you can get them online for $65 plus shipping.
