Will BMW stealers allow you to supply your own oil?

Cheers
28k, March 2008 - and yes at least syntners confirmed I could supply my own engine oil...

tbh - she was getting a bit grumpy in the morning when i turned her over..so she was definitely due on....since the service she starts straight up and is so smooth when I put my food down - even from cold....purring slightly as i stroke her throttle...damn I must be getting high...

Diff oil interval is stated in the manual. It's changed with the 1st and 3rd oil changes only. 1st is running in 1,200 miles.

If you did very high mileage, it's worth getting in changed again though. I think Blackstones (US) recommended 40k miles. Should be on the US section somewhere

JESUS. £15 each for plugs. That is hilarious. They are £4 each! Cost you 90-100 by itself.

Service all done and the car is back!
Driving in the snow has been easy with the Michelin Alpin PA3's. We have had about 5 inches of snow and the car has had no problems at all. I am well impressed so far. See how it copes tomorrow when the snow compacts and ices up.
