KW sleeve over kit install question
I'm in the process of installing the KW sleeve over kit and I'm having one issue: On the rear, when I adjust the collar to set the ride height, the base also rotates. Any tips on how to prevent the base from rotating with the collar?

Do you by any chance have a large clamp to hold the base? You may have to lower the camber arm to take the spring pressure off of the height adjuster.

Yeah, I thought about that and it looks like that's what I'm gonna have to do for now until I get a clear answer as to how to prevent the base from spinning with the collar.

Use some dry lube on the adjuster threads see if that helps. If you can't hold the base from turning by hand you can use a pair of channel lock pliers just be careful not to damage the base.
Next time try some thrust sheets on the adjuster and lower camber links surfaces, they will help a bit. If you really like to tinker with ride height you will want to install a thrust bearing. The photo below shows a rear spring kit with full height adjustments even with the suspension loaded. However, the purpose of the kit is really to allow a very quick spring change at home or the track. |
