SFL Newcomer

Hi everyone. I made a similar post in the general forum but I figure I'd post in the south east forum as well...

After considering/wanting an E90/E92 M3 for a VERY long time, I finally found the perfect one (for me at least). 2011 E90 DCT in Space Gray w/ Competition, Convenience, Premium, and Tech packages. Bought it with 23,5xx on the clock.




This is my first BMW and I previously owned an S2000 for the last 9 years... a MY2000 from 2005 to 2007 and a MY2007 from 2007 until last week.




I loved the last one I owned and it was a great car but after a while I grew tired of the relatively impractical nature of the car. I tried getting a daily drive (Infiniti Q50) for a while but it only annoyed me more to have to pick between two cars and reinforced the fact I wanted something a bit more practical/comfortable for all uses. I intended to get a coupe but the test drive and walk around on the couple I went to look at turned me towards the sedan. I'm really happy with the car thus far and it was pretty well optioned (competition, electronics, and convenience packages).


My I kinda grew out of the heavy modding of cars with my first s2000 and the last one only had minor suspension work. Not planning to do anything crazy to the M3 just learn more about it, maintain it well, and eventually enjoy the car at auto-x or track days once I get a little more accustomed to the size/heft of the car.

nice car! we are having a meet up this coming Sunday at Watson Island, why don't you stop by and meet other M3 owners with some heavily modded cars, it would be nice to have you there, check out this thread:

Yeah I saw that. Not sure if I'll be able to make it but I'll keep an eye out for other events.

Thanks! I'm still waiting for the S2000 nostalgia to set in but so far I don't miss it.

The title is somewhat misleading... I've lived in south Florida since 96 so... I meant to say newcomer to the BMW/M3 community. Lol
