Interior swap Monday
Tomorrow my 2011 gets an interiorectomy, out goes the Bamboo Beige, in comes the black interior. I have been dying to do this swap since I purchased the car (it was too good a deal to not buy even though the seat colors were not my favorite, thanks for asking).
Hopefully everything will go well and no codes will show up requiring a trip back to the dealer.

You'll have to disconnect the battery when swapping out the passenger seat to ensure that the ECU is completely "off", otherwise you'll trigger an SRS/airbag light after you unplug the the passenger seat harness when starting the car.
Just an FYI if you want to save yourself the trouble of having to go back to the dealer to reset the light.

as long as the key isn't touched while doing the swap you don't have to disconnect battery but that's up to you. I swapped seats in my old car w/ no issues.

would have loved fox red (had that in my 02 M3, made the interior look like a bordello), but beggars can't be choosers.

Swap completed yesterday, very pleased with my new to me black leather interior. Wife says to somber now (I have black carbon leather trim). Perhaps some trim pieces in red?
