how many miles on it? Also, any idea whether this would throw off the speedo on a 6MT car or does it now pick up off the wheel speed sensors not the tranny? Thanks!

40k miles in excellent condition
nope, wheel speed sensors.
only using wrong tire sizes will throw your speed off.

just to clear things up to answer the ridiculous amount of questions i am getting:
to see if this is a plug and play, go to your car, open the door and read the manufacturing date. then match to
http://www.vacmotorsports.com/blog/w.../diffchart.jpg

if yours is bolted, then its plug and play

if its welded, your SOL, and its a PITA where you have to send it to a shop to open your weld and then its plug and play. unless YOU own the shop then its cheaper and easier.

didn't mean to ask dumb questions, I'm interested but financially embarrassed right now I knew about the bolted vs. welded thing just didn't know whether changing the ratio had any other implications or not. If you still have this when I have money again I may pick it up with an eye toward a future LSD swap. In any case GLWS.

if you put this in an xi you better change the front diff to a 3.46 too!

I don't know about the driveshaft but I would suspect that you may need one and also axle shafts as well, if you have a "small" diff.

This cant work by just putting it in a 3.08 pumpkin. The ring and pinion from your 3.46 are also required. Do you have those available as well?
