Ahh, Love the Dealers....

Anyone note the one point of advice that the folks at DealerRefresh gave to Husker and the other dealerships?

"Don't email an upset customer anything they can hold against you publicly."

Ah dealerships. If nothing else, they do tend to be consistent.

Anyway. Congrats Dooma on a great moral victory. This whole event has shined a very bright light on some of the seedier sides of Car Dealers. Hopefully Husker's apparent shenanigans will draw some needed attention, and car buyers everywhere will be better educated and prepared to handle dealer tactics the next time they go to shop for a car.

> who names their kid 'Fil'? Is it short for something?

I know a "Fil" that lives in Hamtramck (an ethnic Polish community). Catania
is Italian. I'm guessing the parents are proud of their heritage/homeland.
Good for them!

I'm shocked BMWNA didn't contact you. Absolutely stunning.
Maybe they're on spring break? haha.

Letter from New Attorney for Husker Group/Lincoln BMW

I just received this letter from the new attorney for BMW of Lincoln. I will let the letter speak for itself.

It appears that Ken will not be getting his M3 next week.

Wow, so the dealership won't complete the transaction because they never worked with capital one before? Looks like we need to really organize on this. Scott, looks like it's time to press harder.

Ken, don't worry, they don't know that theirs more to financing then their crap dealership. Why does the dealer need to run a credit check. they don't need to. Why won't they just fax paperwork from the dealer to capital one?

LAME!

Im left pretty much speechless.
The allegations leveled against me are completely untrue.
I will fight this, as these are groundless allegations.

Ok... who's lying here? How could be financing/leasing the problem? After a week of the auction and after 4 days of the dealer accepting selling the car for $60,000 this is still at the same point as a week before.

This is past the expiration date... this is a circus now.

I am amazed that the dealer would go through so much trouble over what is likely no more than a $5000 loss on the sale (difference between the final auction price and the invoice price).

At this point, the OP could type retractions until his fingers go numb. The initial actions and this most recent letter do nothing more than confirm that this is a "dirty" dealership.
