Is there anybody who bought black and in hindsight would have changed to Fox Red?

Black only because FR isn't a very clean red. Coral Red on the other hand..... I'd get CR... I couldnt on my e90. I was willing to pay extra for it too.... =( So White on Black is my theme! GO black!

I got black and don't regret it. I like fox red, but for practicality, black was the better choice for me. red will show more wear over time than black. red will show dirt more, so you'll need to clean and condition it more regularly. i also ride a bike, and when you ride, your clothing gets dirty/greasy. and many times I jump into my car after a ride, and that would surely put permanent stains on the leather.

so it comes down to you and your lifestyle. if you're a neat person and don't mind the extra work of upkeeping the red, go for it. if you want less maintenance, go with the black. hey black, after all, it not a terrible choice either!!

the only thing i sometimes regret is not getting the speed cloth over full leather seats!

Advice from skip to another......you know how fickle the second-hand car market is here. You may find it harder to shift a car with an FR interior. M3 buyers here may be more conservative as since the car is so expensive, I would guess most buyers are older and more conservative.

Just my 2c....

I did. My first SG M3 had a black interior, but was damaged in shipping so I got to order another one. The second time I went with Fox Red because it was a different, bolder, and a bit more sophisticated than a brighter red like coral.

Black is cleaner, but a bit boring and results in the interior fading into the background, with the Fox Red the interior stands out on its own and becomes a distinctive part of the car.

That said, FR generates strong opinions...most people seem to love it (guys) or hate it (girls).

Right here. I really wish I had FR but I got a great deal on an 08 on the lot. My JB with FR inside would have been great.

Anybody E90 FR owners want to swap for black?

I had the magma red on my S5 and it was very red. The FR looks like terracotta pats my mom plants geraniums in. I don't like it. It's not red to me...

I almost went with red until I saw it in person, it's WAY too red, IMHO.

Here's someone who just got the SG/FR combo. I like it. If I had gotten SG, I would have gone with FR.

I bought black and don't regret it. I didn't like the Fox Red, and was concerned about resale value as well.

I have the SSII and Fox Red combo. I didn't get the extended fox red though -- that seemed like *too* much of a good thing to me. Fodder for your next poll...

I think the FR may increase resale value (though it may make it harder to sell). In reselling my S4, I discovered that the bolder black/blue combo Alacantra seats were more sought after than the ordinary silver leather seats I had.

FR may be a color an enthusiast is willing to pay a little extra for.

I've got SSII/FR and love it. I receive positive comments all the time and never a negative.

I've had the car six-months now and the FR leather isn't beginning to need cleaning. I suspect that once per year cleaning and conditioning will be fine, so that's not a worry unless you're a roofer and constantly have tar stuck to your butt.

SG and AW look awesome with FR interior. IMO the advantage of black is that it goes with any colour combination, the disadvantage is that an all black interior can be a pretty drab environment. My Jetta is all black inside and seven years of it made me want a change real bad.

I guess another factor in the FR's favour is that it probably comes close to neutralizing the hideous orange of the various radio and dash displays.

SG and IB were the two colours I really considered, I think if I got SG it would have been the FR interior. When I decided on the IB I chickened out on the "Superman" car, although I was intrigued, and went with bamboo.

If I were going with the coup, I think I would go FR. As is, I am leaning sedan, and I think that FR sedan may be heresy.

Just curious how many would order the Cinnamon if it were an option? I think the FR is somewhere in between IR/CR and Cinn. Nice compromise! Here is my Cinn on my E46. This was taken after almost 3years, if you take care of the seats they will age well! Note: Manual seats!
