Is it possible to work on cars without beer? Plus I needed something to keep the paper from blowing away. What glue did you use for the M3 emblems?

I just stuck them back on the way they are. But today I took them off again until I find a proper way to put them back on. I don't want them blowing away or falling off lol.

Me either, they're off for now. I'm going to ask around today and see if I can't find something that will hold up.

I picked up some 3M adhesive made just for trim/emblems from Advance Auto. I think it should work fine; I also picked up some clear, but I'm not sure how glossy it is, I need to test it. Now it's time to get to work on the kidneys

AHH nice. I have a DIY video on the kidney grills. Should I post it?

I imagine its much the same as the side grills, but go for it, it can't hurt. I have all the glue off of one emblem, and I'm working on the other. I'll post pics when its all done.

So you're saying just take more time in the prep work?

Got the emblems back on. I found that the best way to remove the old glue is to put the badge on a table and scrape the back w/ a flathead screwdriver. Also, I roughed up the paint with some 800 before putting the badges back on.

How long do you sand? Just until the surface is evenly rough?
