Is there an advantage to using the Challenge Sport X-Pipe over full Akrapovic over just the cost?

I thought the 'sport' midpipe retained primary cats and then the race version looked like this?

Challenge "Street" retains primary cats (has short front section).
Challenge "Race" has the single resonator/no cats
Challenge "Race+" has no cats and no resonators
"Sport" is as pictured above...

These guys @ Challenge really cover all the bases!

Yes cheaper but main reason was to avoid the resonance that people comaplain about.

It avoids the tinny sound that the full Akrapovic has at lower RPMs at the expense of a decent amount more weight.

Really never understood why everyone is so hung up on weight. The difference in weight on the X-pipe is nothing you would notice in street driving.
