I don't like the way the dash looks without I-Drive. I don't think it is the best system either but it isn't hard to use either. Again, it was more of a looks thing for me.

I'm a tech guy as well. I like the Idrive (even the CCC) and the features.

Someone already said it but you may as well get all the options available to you. You don't want to have any buyers remorse. Not that you really could driving this beauty.

It's all a matter of preference.

I just had the CCC in my car swapped to CIC and the system is much better. Regardless, Idrive was a must for me when I shopping.

its a must for me. i cant stand that old system, it has a cheaper layout feel. outdated

even the newest 3 series model still use the Idrive in my M3. its perfect they know it and i know it.

dont have it. dont care.
was not a top priority for me though. I have no buyers remorse. I love my whip as is (springs and spacers).
But... I am not a huge tech guy either.

I got a really good deal from someone who was trading their car in and wanted to swap my CCC for their CIC plus some cash.

Labor for the swap was about $350 for just my car and then you can probably cruise the classified sections for the normal price of the actual hardware.
