hmmm, I had the same feeling after my 30,000 mile service. However, my plugs were changed also.

It's weird that yours feels sluggish after changing the plugs, it should feel better with a better response.

Recently had the same service and the car feels like day one off the lot. I would take it back to the dealer and have them check it out, maybe they put on wrong spark plugs or overfilled the diff.

Also had this done recently. I noticed the car was actually more responsive. The only downside was a lot more rubbing/sticking in the rear diff, which is a known issue but got worse with the diff oil change for me.

If your car feels more responsive after a visit to the dealer, it's probably because the service techs were out driving it hard, and the adaptive ECU has the car in more of a responsive/sport mode for the next drive.

No joke, I've noticed this before. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can describe what the ECU does to adapt to driving style, but this is seriously a possibility. I have noticed it before...

OMG. That must be it. Like global warming, polar bears, and the great pacific garbage patch. I'm pretty sure they've f!@#d with my M's throttle curve too. Wiley critters, them techs. Cause I was sure driving conservatively to protect my 2-year old's ability to see big glaciers in the lower 48.

Not really how it works.. It's not going to feel faster because someone was beating on it before.

I had the 30K service done and they replaced my tranny fluid, diff fluid, oil, spark plugs and rear brakes.

Car felt like new afterward. But it drove like new before too. I think engine running characteristics improved from the spark plug change.

I had this done last month and the engine felt more responsive afterwards. Its definitely the new spark plugs.

Just got my car back from this service (oil & diff fluid changes, spark plugs) yesterday and the engine feels noticeably smoother & responsive. The techs only put 7 miles on the car and I just got back from a track weekend, so I doubt it has anything to do with how it was driven during its' stay at the dealer. Pretty sure the spark plugs are what made the difference here...

I recently purchased a 2nd hand 08 E90 M3 but I'm not sure when the car should be serviced. I took the car in and the dealer reported that nothing was needed but the car and directed me to the maintenance tab on the iDrive. All fluids show green.

That was a week ago and the car just reached 30K miles. I'm I supposed to take it for a service??
