I think I need to sit in this car to appreciate the interior... from all the pics it just looks really busy to me... i don't know.

Anyways, does anyone know if Audi will be offering a DSG type gearbox on this car in the near future? I'm kinda surprised it comes in manual only at the moment.

Spring '08.

The S5 will be receiving a tip-tronic automatic in Spring'08, not a DSG. The DSG will first be seen in either the S4 when it arrives or the Q5.

Yup. Thanks for the clarification.

I see the S5 posted a 6 point advantage over the 335i in the Supertest conducted by SportAuto. To me this justifies the extra dosh.

Ring times were equal to that of the 335i and it's short circuit time was slightly better than the 335i. Wet track time was a whole 6 seconds better but this is to be expected as it does have the superior drivetrain for these conditions.

A great result.

I really want a 335xi as my second car, however I hardly use the Z4M since it's basically a toy (I live and work downtown, take cabs or the subway), so I can't justify it. Maybe for my GF.

The S5 looks really nice, however the interior is smaller than a E92 and the clutch/gearbox seemed crap to me - long throws, imprecise and mushy. Btw - isn't the 335 coupe ~340lbs heavier than a Z4M, without options (and Z4M has less)?
