My angel eyes that I purchased in July are already burnt out. Followed instructions to the t, but they still managed to burn out. I have tried to contact e92-lighting numerous time via email and phone, yet still no response. Any idea who to talk to specifically to help with their 1 year warranty?any response would be much appreciated.

Hey I finally installed my DTEC V7's last night, they look great and function with no flicker...had to return the first set due to apparently ordering the blue globes, after some pain to obtain their postal address I returned them for an exchange, in all with the frustrating lack of service and postage to Australia, has taken over 6 months since I handed over the $$$. Worst customer service experience ever! I hope they last, I tried these after my LUX V4's failed after 3 months, and the flickered on startup from the get go...have decided yellow's not so bad.

I completely agree with you. The worst customer service. After 3 weeks of me calling and emailing. I just gave up. Two days ago I finally called them again and holy crap they answered. They said they would resend me another module and give me a tracking number within an hr. Fail... Still haven't received a tracking number. What kind of business are these guys running. Hey guys, just in my own opinion these guys have a poor product, poor customer service, and I would advise looking elsewhere for led angel eyes.

I'm currently in the same position. They were supposed to ship replacement drivers last Monday. Hopefully I'll get the replacements and everything will be fine.

I'm also looking to upgrade Angel eyes and was deciding between the Lux and Dtec, seems they both have their issues.

Any advice on an alternate upgrade?

I'm yet to try any other brands, these both seem to be the most favoured from what I could tell from Bimmerpost, the dtecs come up nicer IMO

the OPs issue has already been fully resolved, sorry, since we made a revision to our driver modules with added gauge wiring and longer wires, we had to make this change to stop issues from occurring, which caused a delay since we had to modify every set before shipping

Just got my set of replacement drivers installed. I only had one broken driver, but E92 Lighting sent out a pair so the two drivers would match. Everything looks good now, fingers crossed!

So, I received my new driver. Only one at first, however I spoke with e92-lighting they said they would send another one to replace the other ballast to make both match. They said this is their most updated version and that it would hopefully solve my problem completely. Their customer service seems to have improved they are trying to rectify the problems. So I am giving them a second chance. Hope you guys do the same.

to all members/clients in M3post and E90post, we went ahead and fixed two bad installs just last weekend, there are two ways to install our DTECs, there is the incorrect way which is pretty quick for installation, which will cause our driver modules to prematurely be overdriven, its just a matter of time, the correct way which will require time + finesses + and relocating our driver modules underneath the led bulbs which would be the base of the headlight and also move all wires away from anything thats a metal conductor (it will produce heat)

Hi All, the reason why majority of this advertised "high wattage" LEDs, is because they burn out due to heat. The manufacturers are overdriving the LEDs instead of driving it at max 1.05amps they are driving it to higher maybe 2amps. the excessive heat will burn thru the phosphors coating the LEDs. CREE is a great brand, I'm in the lighting industry myself, my understanding is the LEDs are actually improving in efficacy, more lumens, less wattage. So I'm not sure where these manufacturers are coming out with 64watts.

If I put a 64watt module in an architectural dowight, I'll get 5000 lumens and can light from 50 FT high ceilings.

It seems my issue has been addressed since I have been sent replacements.

we can make and design anything we want with LEDS, and in fact, we already have CREE led household lighting now in E27 bulbs soon, GU10, and also MR16, its amazing bright, we have 4300k and 6000K and tubular cree leds, it will cover your whole house and SAVE on electricity bills, WIN-WIN, and more $ in your pocket for mods.

RGBs also released as well, thanks for the suggestion!

CREE makes great Medium Base (it's A19=lamp size, E26=medium base socket, not E27.) Switch does as well and so does Philips.

Sorry to say, but GU10 is a socket size, and it's 1 of the 2 MR16 sizes. MR16s come in GU10 and 2-pin.

Tubular Cree LEDs they don't make. Philips did release a directional T8 replacement but you would need to use it with a driver rather than your standard ballast. 4300k and 6000k is extremely uncomfortable for an interior environment. 3000k is your go-to color, closes match to halogen MRs, but if you do a 2700k it may be more incandescent in color.

brightness is measured in lumen output. There are so many different BINs of diodes from CREE. USA Illumination has a patented diamond cut cree led diode so they are able to dumb a bucket of lumens into their amazingly designed downlights. if you have horrible heat dissapation you will get immature failure of the LEDs, where the phosphor coatings burn out. That's what I mean by many of the manufacturers here on the board will dump high wattage aka over drive the LEDs, which looks great in the initial hours, and when it's older where the phosphors are burned, the color shifts.

just fyi. basic lighting knowledge.

thanks for the suggestion but we can design Cree leds in any base or tubular base, thanks for the extra ideas

if you have more suggestions, please pass it over,
