It is 468hp and 315ft-lbs with the current AA bolt ons/software, not the supercharger...

Wrong...actually spoke to Steve Dinan last night at AtSpeedMotorsports and he told us pricing would be less than 40K BUT still not cheap at 25K. Very interesting guy and I learned quite a bit.

Sure, this is funny.

But what's the hold-up? Reliability testing? Tuning issues? Low priority / cost considerations?

Or is this a wait-and-see approach, by looking at what issues pop up with other sc'ers on the market?

It certainly is odd that there was plenty of talk about this kit when it was early in development, but little has been released in the last year.

Honestly it is a little bit of all of the above. Took a different approach than we usually do and it caused a pretty long delay but we are pleased with the end result. It also allowed us to do over a year in actual testing with a car running which proved beneficial.

Thanks, Omar. I know there's plenty of AA-junkies out there, and this sort of update is good to hear/read.

Better off going for a decent SC kit.

New to this forum but very interested in moving into FI. Just picked up a 2008 E90 with 6k miles with the thought of supercharging. G-Power has gotten hammered a lot in the not so remote past because they had engines blowing up. I know two members on this forum were acutely affected. It still appears to me the Gpower unit has the cleanest lines, and is exceptionally well made. Was it the local dealer whose name shall not be spoken that was a tool, or was the company acting in a way that you would not recommend them? It sounds like the tune issues have been resolved. It was easy when I started looking into this as Gpower seemed the only unit out there. Now there are several, not all without their own problems and strengths. I am not trying to set power records, but would like a torque boost and perhaps another 100-125 HP. Could you do that with a Stage I setup and an exhaust? Have been scouring the internet for the promised AA supercharger as well, as it seemed it was to be available many months ago. Recommendations?
