Google Maps and 2009 iDrive

I've been reading a bit on-line regarding this and from what I can tell, you must subscribe to the "Convenience Plan" with BMW Assist? ($199 per year additional)

Can someone confirm this?

Thanks,

Thanks,
You only need the standard BMW Assist Plan (which comes free with the car for the first 4 years - also called the BMW Assist Safety Plan) to send an address from Google Maps to the car.

You need the Convenience Plan ($199/year add'l) in order to initiate a Google Search from the car.

I see that, thanks. But "MyInfo" does not come up in any of my menu's.

And I've tried it for a few months (bmw/google search) and it is a big disappointment. Better off with an iphone.
