Thumbs up Get Jet

Okay, take this advice if you like from someone who has owned both. I had a Jet Black 06 330i new. I ordered my M3 in Jerez since it was an M color and unique, but I regretted it. The hints of blue are so hard to see unless the lighting is just right that the paint ends up looking foggy much of the time even when clean. Jet Black is the way to go. I had my 06 from new for one year and put 11K miles on it. I hand washed it and enjoyed taking care of it. Absolutely zero swirl marks after one year, but you must care for it, take your time, hand wash and dry gently with micro fiber towels.

Jerez all the way. It's such a unique color. You get the best of the both world. It's like having two different color

And that is has that dynamic quality of shifting hue in different light - if you lived with the colour = no contest, IMO.

Here are some pics of my JB vert in direct sunlight.
I think it's one of the most unique colors i've seen. The hint of blue that you get at certain angles is beautiful.

This should give you a better idea.
(btw..before everyone starts hating..I now have oem 19's on there..gotta get some new pics.)

jerez is more $$$ but in my opinion its worth it. I would disagree that you cant tell the difference. Even if in certain light you cant tell that it has a hint of blue, the paint job just looks 'deeper' if that makes sense

I have a Jerez Black E93 and I absolutely love it. There is nothing like it on the road. This colour is exclusive to the M3 making your car truly unique. I love the hint of blue in the sunlight.

Love it. If you don't like the mercurial black/blue, then, not for you./

But if you desire a dynamic and unique colour, then,

Jerez black is the way to go - that is an awesome colour.... If it wasn't for my love of Space Grey.. it would be Jerez... although not the easiest to maintain!

Totally Jerez Black is similar to the Azurite Black on our 760 Individual.

Its a pain to keep clean!

I went with Jerez Black after regretting not getting Carbon Black on my E46. I love the color, but it is a pain in the butt to keep clean. It is worse out where I live in Wisconsin as we have hard water here that leaves a lot of spots. I also see some swirl marks that were not as evident on my Alpine White E46. That said, I can't see Jet Black being any easier or less likely to swirl. If I could do it over again, I may go with silver or grey.

This is why you got AW, right?!?

I went for Jet Black (and really love it!!) but both are very nice...can't go wrong with either.
