Visit Acurazine.com before you pull the trigger. I had an 07 TL-S in the past (same as the 08). If you get one, STAY AWAY from the manual trans. The 6-speed has a weak 3rd gear that a lot of people have had to replace - on their own dime. Acura tried to tell me it would be $3k to fix the problem while the car was under warranty!! What a joke. No problems reported on the auto trans, though.
I've also had Evo VIII an IX. No problems there. Buying used is tough to find an unmolested one, though. 335- they just upped the warranty on the stock turbos to 8 years/80k miles and HPFP is 10 years/120k miles. So, a little peace of mind there. Good luck with your search.

So I need advice now on what I should do with this purchase I am making on a 335i. Its form a listing on autotrader (Guys is in MD and I am in VA). For the price should I list what I am actually paying or look up the NDA value of the car first?? Also any suggestions on places to go to get the safety inspection, emissions and anything else needed in order to register it in VA??

All I have to say is it was a sign today. My 335i was totaled in a construction accident by my place. Needless to say I am keeping the M3. Insurance is going to take care of the rest. Anyhow since I sold my performance exhaust I have the standard one but one of the catchers is missing a screw was wondering if anyone had them or could help.
Thanks! |

joe,
the new 335i was in construction accident? so sorry to hear that. let me know if you need invoice for the work as insurance company should reimburse you for the work as well done on the car. Text me your home address or address - I can have one mailed to you. |
