considering the price range around an e46 m3 i dont think you can get a better looking and performing car. Im quite biased though, been my fav car for a LONG time

S2000 is no rocket either. For the price the BRZ is pretty nice and it is not super slow either.

That's 1 thing I don't like about s2k, its slower then it looks and then it should be. BRZ has 40 less horses so i think considrably slower, 0-60 is like 0.4-0.6 difference. S2k compensates with amazing and fun engine though.

Point is to move in different direction or upgrade. I most likely will end up waiting for another S-type R Jag or reasonably priced 07-08 CS or 09 Cayman.......why Jag you might ask ......cause I like it and its cheap, I heard pretty reliable too. I don't know if I ever see those deals again, but unfortunately those are prices that I am willing to pay now.

Maybe you should buy a Z4 M coupe or roadster 06-08 year. They have the classic S54 inline-6 that revs high based on E46 M3. The cars come in manual and are loads of fun and have plenty of straight line ability and need lots of fun in hands of a skilled driver that can extract full potential.

If you're worried about what someone else thinks other than how wonderfully the car drives, you're holding it wrong.

Get a used Golf R, put $3-4k into it and run with the big boys.
They do 0-60 in high 3's and 1/4 low 11.
Nice and simple interior, plenty of room.
OK for DD

Nice cars, I even almost bought STI with like 7k miles awhile ago. But now I realize they aren't for me....unless of course Subaru will run another $8000 off MSRP sale for STI

So.....Unexpected buyer showed up for my S2k and wants to pay a bit over retail for my car, the bad news is that out of 5-6 chain dealerships in 4-states there are only 2 Porsche Cayman S for sale now 1st miles too high and 2nd price too high...

just my luck. i had no choice but to turn the offer down. not only i will stay without the car for some time, but i will also loose $1500 in taxes (i have a way to avoid taxes if i buy and sell within several days)

ps. after a bit of reading and booking a track day for Porsche world show, i kinda decided Cayman S should be my next car if everything works out

You won't be disappointed with the CS for sure. Selling mine crosses my mind sometimes but I know i'll regret it for sure.

BRZ/FR-S with a rocket bunny kit - about $4-5k sans wing. I'm almost dead set on doing this or playing it safe and getting a MkVII GTI.
I'm afraid if I get one of theo Toyobarus that I'm going to go mod crazy...first thing I'll do is a drop and probably slap on a cliche set of TE-37s.
