It was said in jest.
You did not specify a Dinan tune initially. I agree it's a good choice if retaining a warranty of some sort is of importance. |

Just spent the past hour taking a ton of videos with my new GoPro with this exhaust setup. Will be creating a new thread shortly after I edit the videos and upload them to YouTube.
Stay tuned... |

You're looking at similar power, it's not really an accurate comparison since one setup requires welding and is catless, and the other is a bolt on X/H pipe setup with HFC's + resonators. Personally I went with the full Akra for convenience, sound, and material, but the HFC's would add more restriction vs a catless setup in theory. It really comes down to your preference in terms of sound, and the other associated factors. Obviously test pipes is the cheapest possible mod. There are tradeoffs with any setup, it just depends which factors are most important to you.

We're going to be launching a few specials on the ACM Testpipes + Tune, as well as Akra + Tune, and the setup that epbb and the OP are running.

Hay guys haven't posted here in a while, i recently took off my ACM test pipes paired with my MPE. Reason being is that i feel that the car can sound better with a AA High Flow Cat x-pipe, what do you guys think? i wanna get rid of more rasp.

Hay guys haven't updated this thread in a while, (sorry!). But i did get rid of my Test Pipes, still have the MPE though. I thought of two ways that might be a possible way to enhance the sound without rasp. rasp was created from my ACM test pipes & didn't like it after a while. but here are my next two options and wanted people to debate on which one is better paired with MPE.'
Since MPE is TUV certified, why not the ACM muffler mod? (nobody did this) OR High Flow Cat X-pipe from AA. Which deletes 200 cells from primary and 200 cells secondary and resonators are present. which is the same as test pipes, but your change the flow of air, which may alter the sound. just wanted to know what you guys think, thanks. |
