Changing the trunk seems like way more trouble than it's worth. If you already have a cage in your car, the wing definitely doesn't look out of place. I've had mine on for over a year now and have had nothing but compliments on the street.

Got it down to like 10 minutes now... but pretty soon Im just going to buy the extra inner brake lights, locking mechanism and hand latch, and license plate lights and then all you need to swap is the wiring harness which is pretty painless. But even with all those things its pretty easy once you have done it a few times.
Also, I just left the trunk felt off on both trunks which makes it super easy... |

But the cage is a dead giveaway that the wing is functional and if I had one I wouldnt be swapping it. |

Okay, so I hate to revive an old thread here, but I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere. How do you know where to put the wing? What exact measurements do you use? Is there a specific distance from the edge of the trunk to the mounts of the wing?

If I remember correctly it was a lot of measuring to ensure equal distances for centering and offset from the rear lip spoiler. As far as the distance from the rear lip I believe I just estimated based upon GTS pics I pulled from online.

The RKP comes with a template for exact placement but most people just use online photo ref. The wing sits pretty far back on the trunk and you can easily get the distance right by comparing the gap to the rear edge of the trunk lid

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99% sure it's a Mode carbon LM series

OP, what AOA are you running for your wing?
I just ordered APR GT250 wing, will be installing soon. I know different wings/design... Does anyone know what AOA is good for APR 250 wing on e92 m3?

I ran closest to neutral for street driving, about half of range for track

I was told that 5 degrees in combination with a decent size front splitter is good for our cars. Also, did your wing make a noticeable difference at the track? Sorry for so many questions.

I believe the angle is a function of the speed of the track, I would put it to full down force for a auto cross type event but level it out to the middle settings for road corse. I'm not sure how the angle is measured but 5 degrees seems a bit shallow if it's compared to level, the middle setting appears to be closer to 10 degrees between airfoil chord line and level
