Trim lifting/bubbling on OEM Steering Wheel
Did a thorough interior clean this weekend and noticed that the trim on the steering wheel (centre piece outside of airbag module) has started to bubble.
The "bubbles" can be moved around which leaves me thinking that the adhesive has failed and air is present underneath the trim. Has anyone else experience this and would this be considered a "wear and tear" item? See picture for location (sorry about the fuzzy pic). Thanks |

Common problem. The dealer replaced mine under warranty along with my door handles and window switch plate because the crappy rubberized coating was peeling. You shouldn't have an issue getting the dealer to replace it.
The newer parts appear to have a different finish. It looks like it's just matte black plastic. |
