"Vorsteiner's GTS3 bumper serves both form and function. It will add an aggressive aesthetic to your E90, E92 or E93 M3, and will direct more air to the radiator and brake ducts than an OEM bumper, all while increasing downforce at high speeds. "

Our cars don't even have brake ducts do they???

They don't.

I wasn't sure how to interpret that line either. How exactly is "more air directed to the brake ducts" when they don't even exist?

The driver side opening in the fender is for the intake. If they made that opening larger so that there is an opportunity to channel some air into the wheel well, maybe I can see what they are saying, but that would also require cutting a hole in the fender liner and so on.

The passanger side opening is for the transmission oil cooler, which already vents into the wheel well.

Then, there is the question of what blowing some air into the wheel well accomplishes exactly in the absence of ducting to a modified back plate. I am sure it does something, but I don't know how significant that can be.

The extra lines around the intake openings remind me of this

Moving my post.

I love that front lip, that's exactly what I've always wanted on my M3....

But why a whole bumper for just that? I don't really care what anyone says, that's a 90% OEM bumper design right there, with an awesome lip attached (and the subtle differences but I mean, original point.) Not worth paying 1.7k+ for IMHO.

And how much are the realistic weight savings? Our OEM front bumper apron is already pretty light as it is.

But for what it's worth, that 1 piece front lip is the best one out on the market in my opinion. If only we could buy that separately for the OEM front bumper: I'd buy it in a heartbeat...

Check out the post in the commercial section, it has a break down about the benefits of the larger openings. These do not vent to the brakes, one vents to the airbox and one vents to the oil cooler.

You are by far the biggest Vorteiner pillow-biter ever. You will make up anything to promote their stuff. There is nothing about this design that is significantly more functional than the OEM bumper. Its purely cosmetic. Which is fine, but let's not fool oursleves. Next you'll claim it was designed in a wind tunnel.
