Is that wheel VIA/JWL, TUV or SAE certified???
I just don't think a wheel should crack like that. .

I doubt they are made in china either. Yours are probably low pressure cast also. but the china thing is the problem I have seen junk cast wheels bend and break under very little and break badly like this one.
I just looked at their site they are 1 piece with a cast barrel I had someone sell me forgiatos that way once they got them right back. Luckily I have learned and am learning still about purchasing wheels and would not fall for that. |

wow, just checked in on this thread now and saw 30 replies. I think i will contact Iconz. Main reason, the pothole/manhole was not some crazy big thing like you guys probably think it is. I took a picture that day. Here it is below. As you can see, it is not large at all and driving straight forward, you probably would not even think it would cause damage. This is more of reason that its something wrong with the wheel itself.

Ok so i just checked Iconz site, looks like im screwed with trying to ask them about this. On there site it says transfer of title of any INCOZ Wheels by the original purchaser voids warranty. And also structural failure due to road conditions voids warranty.
Guess i gotta keep trying to go after the county, maybe it's time to contact the news like someone mentioned here. |

That's barely a pot hole, more of a dip. Those wheels must be garbage. I wouldn't care what they say on their website. This type of catastrophic failure is unacceptable. This would have killed you had it been on the freeway.

^this!! I'd still contact the wheel manufacturer even if you aren't the original owner because that type of failure shoud not occur when running over a manhole cover. Pathetic

suck man, sorry to see that. this is the third thread, today, i've seen about people with aftermarket wheels snapping in half. if there's anything i've learned it's; don't ever, ever buy aftermarket wheels. there's nothing better than oem when it comes to reliability and quality.. (with the exception of akrapovic )

What is your goal in "going after" anyone I would say good riddance to your wheels be happy it did not total your car or anything worse and make a more informed decision next time.
I will guarantee this wheel said JWL/SAE on the back. Every cast wheel I have seen has this it really doesnt mean much on a wheel or component made in China. At the top of this forum is a thread about how wheels are made and the quality of each process I would start there with your decision making. |

More informed decision? Im not trying to sounds rude but i said in my first post that these wheels came with the car. I didn't "decide" i wanted these wheels. The wheels on a car is not the most important decision or deciding factor to me (transmission, mileage, color, interior, options etc. are more important). And i was not planning on keeping these anyway. Just sucks cause i was planning on selling them and now im not gonna get nearly what i could have unless i get a replacement wheel or something. |
