Leased for 2 years with 24k miles per year. Modded it anyway, just like the last one. Came out ahead vs purchase or finance when it came time to turn it in. The write-offs are just gravy, alota gravy.

Bought outright. I drive my cars into the ground, so leasing wasn't really a good option for me (have 52K miles on my E93 M3 now), and I couldn't be bothered moving money around to make monthly payments to maximize interest. Paid cash... done with it.

Car isn't a financial investment -- it's an investment in my soul.

I leased..even with the lease the money factor I got makes the rate at 2.9% with a residual that at the end of the lease there could still be some equity. If you can take full advantage of the tax break that leasing provides and its a good lease I say lease the vehicle.
