Slight damage, what to do?
So last night I took my car to the Sears Auto Center next to my house to get my winter tires put on. When they were done and pulled my car up I noticed he pulled it up onto the curb. I immediately let them know and they told me I had to wait until the manager came in the next day. I went home and inspected it and its really not that bad but there are some scratches there and also a couple on the side from where they put it on the lift. I know it's just a car and these things happen but I think what pisses me off the most is that someone else's carelessness damaged it. Up to this point I have been super cautious where and how I park and I just washed it last weekend and I know those scratches were not there.
So should I just chalk this up as a loss and go on with my day since it's on the bottom of the car and you can't really see it or should I try to argue my case to the manager and see if they will fix it? |

I think you need to keep pushing the manager not just to fix it but MAINLY so that they make sure not to do that again to anybody's car. If you let it go, what's to keep them from being reckless again?

IMO if you care about your wheels, you shouldn't go to Sears to have them worked on. Next winter, get some cheap wheels and snow tires delivered from Tirerack and swap them yourself.
Being a corporate backed operation, they might be able to have them repaired, though. |

You can be assured that Sears is fully insured, so if you want to push the issue, they can have it fixed for you. Whether you feel it's worth the trouble is up to you.
If you do decide to pursue it, though, be forthright.
