Does anyone know if there are holes in the trunk lid on the convertibles for mounting the roundel? If not that will also come off the minute it hits my driveway.

I am waiting for delivery, but from what I recall, that on the convertible, there is no indentation on the trunk lid for the roundel.

One thing is de-badging. That's a matter of preference.

Taking off the roundel is a whole different matter. That's going too far... as a matter of preference

Just look at the IND Blue Max car, its rear M badge is gloss black.

Well, you could always debadge, and if you decide you don't like it, you can rebadge...maybe with matte black badges.
