Car is stuck at US port

Why is it taking so long for a sold car to get loaded onto a carrier and sent to the dealership? The car has been sitting there for a week!

Any number of things can delay a car at the preparaton center (port). Early this year there was a seat belt issue that required some parts to be changed out at the PC. It can be transportation related too. The dealer should be able to determine the specific cause for delay.

great...I don't know for sure if mine has let the port yet or not. Is there is a more accurate website that shows you the exact status your car is in? Besides the untrustworthy BMW tracker

Put your VIN in the "Cargo ID" field. If the system has updated then it will show you what ship the car is on. Usually the system is behind though.

I'm waiting to see if mine hopped in a ship today.

What port did you come into? NJ or Baltimore?
