PCD - M5 Hot Lap (Funny)
Funny video to share.
I finally had the opportunity to order my very own E90 M3 earlier this year and completed PCD on 7.14.11. I grew up in the Atlanta area and then worked for BMW Manufacturing as a Mechanical Engineer in the Analysis Center at the plant from 2004-2007, fun to be back and see my former co-workers at the plant and performance center. My parents still live in Atlanta so my wife and I flew into ATL and they joined us on the trip up to SC. My dad and I did the driving portion of PCD and my wife and mom dropped in for the actual delivery. Our delivery specialist invited the ladies to join us for the hot lap with the instructors. Having done this a number of times before, I knew it would be classic if I could get a video of them. Neither had ever been on a track, let alone an M5 drift lap with a Performance Center instructor. Resulting video below (Available in HD), classic family material. Big thanks to Larry for showing them a good time (particularly the 360 at the end)! Classic fun
It's a lot different if you are the driver vs. being the passenger. My tummy didn't feel good after they spin me around......

i am actually a senior mechanical engineering student and I would love to work for BMW when I graduate. did you work there straight out of school or did you have other experience first? thanks and congrats on the M3. e90 zcp is exactly what I would order

Its fun to see that the only point of reference is the hair moving side to side. You can really see the forces they are taking.
Would love to work at the factory too
