Love Having a Useful Sports Saloon!

This weekend, my wife, son, dog (55lbs) and I went on a 300 mile round trip excursion to the promised land of LA! Obviously, with an infant, I had to pack about half of our household goods for the three day trip as well as snacks for my son, wife and dog (no no no, nobody ate in the car). Anyway, I am always impressed with the utility of the E90 M3 (and similar sports saloons that I've had in the past), while still being able to enjoy the raucous power and sound that comes from its high revving (and powerful) V8. Love it!

Everything, including the stroller, dog food and down comforter were packed in the car.

Extreme Closeup (travel crib, queen size air mattress, gifts, dog food, stroller, clothes, etc.)!

That dog must be well behaved.

Lol, the hardest part is keeping her (the dog) quiet when he (the son) is asleep..luckily, she's scared of squirt bottles and quiets down rather quickly if you just reach for one.

Nice! Good looking vizsla - ours is 13.5 years old, and very white in the face. Sweet old girl...

Haven't taken a big road trip with all the family in mine yet, but I look forward to it someday soon. It is the perfect car for the family man/car enthusiast (assuming you have to cover all your bases with one car and not two!).

Doesn't look like all that much to squeeze into an E90. Is the trunk in the E90 larger than the E92?

We usually take the X5, but it needs to go in for service and we ran out of time. Sadly, with my short commute to work, I haven't paid much attention to gas...holy hell is it expensive here in SoCal! In retrospect, we should have taken the X5 just to "enjoy" the diesel prices!

Our Vizsla is the same age, 13.5!

It's kinda a bad pic. I was quickly emptying the car/trunk, so the items are a bit piled up (on top of each other). Plus, try fitting an assembled stroller and a queen size air mattress in a car and you quickly realize how much space you don't have! Keep in mind as well that nothing could go in the cabin; baby takes up half of the back seat, the dog takes the other.

Thanks!...Just B&G Springs, although I have 12mm spacers in the rear on the GTS rims and a -2 camber adjustment.

Thanks. Def looks agressive. Love the GTS wheels against the SSII too...nice contrast there.

Funny seeing this picture. We just got back from a week's vacation and took our 4 year old Vizsla. Didn't make the 600 mile round trip in an M3 though. Great pics OP

I was thinking maybe UK originally since he said saloon instead of sedan.

great!
I wanted to post a similar pic, but didn't take any during my trip

Took my E90 M3, went on a 1500 mile round trip with 3 people, 2 full size (tour size) golf bags, luggages, sleeping bags etc for 4 days.

Loved the power on highways, great sound system, surprisingly quiet cabin @ 70~80mpg 6th gear (MT), loved all the talks and funs during the trip, most importantly it was my official long trip with the M3.

For me, the sedan just makes more sense, and when it's an M3 sedan...can't compare or trade for anything else...
