Stock offset
The stock offset is fine functionally. I think what he's saying is that for a more agressive appearance the wheels should be pushed out a little and gaps reduced. Remember the stock fitment must allow room for tire chains.

Functionality matters the most in this case. The suspension won't perform properly/as intended with the wrong offsets.

yes i am saying they will look skinny like my rsgt's.
yes lucid functionality matters but more aggressive wheels doesnt mean it necessarily compromises functionality. besides those who put 19's on their cars are usually looking for looks more than track-oriented functionality. u guys are taking this waaay too deep IMO. et 23 with 9.5 wont "look" good, wider wheels "might" do the trick but not 9.5's even if they're OEM |

Note that the 19" wheels have different offsets than the 18" wheels. That is to make sure they function properly. Whatever size wheel that you will be putting on it, you need to make sure the offsets are right to ensure your tires are making proper contact and the geometry is still as intended. If you move too far away from the stock sizes, you will run into problems unless you modify the whole suspension assembly, etc.

thanks Lucid. so i take it since the OEM CSL's will be more tucked in than stock they they = no bueno.
in any case sorry for hijacking Supreme's thread. CSL's are hot, and those particular wheels are nice, i had them on my 335. |

All I can say is that those wheels were clearly not designed for this car. They are way too heavy anyway.

Yep!! The stock wheels/tires look just a tad sucked in. I agree with Mantis!

I plan to run 18s on the track because they allow for a larger choice of R compounds and they are cheaper.
