How did they make the rear lights look like that, was it a vinyl application, or some other process? Also, how did the black out the roof?

The rear lights were painted in a mixture of clear coat & black paint,a bit of trial & error.You can see that in the pics of the stripped car that they were too dark so had to strip them down & go lighter.As for the roof it first done in matt black but it appeared to have a chalky look to it,almost a greyish color so after putting up with it for a few months decided to redo it in gloss black,the same as the window trim,but to do it right had to remove the front & rear glass again.You can probably see these differences if you compare the workshop shops with the outdoor ones.
