We're happy to go head to head with ESS at any time at an independant dyno.
My M3 was one of the first US spec M3's to be tuned by ESS. I like the PC software more --It rips to redline much harder. We've tuned over 100 M3's with great success, but there are lot of happy people with ESS software too

This is probably going to turn into a fanboi thread. With that said, I've been running the Powerchip tune for 5500 miles with zero problems. Car runs perfect, puts down great numbers on the dyno, and has never had any codes pop up.

Your car was not one of the first US E9X M3's AJ tuned it was the first and also most likely the first aftermarket tuned M3 in the US at the time AJ tested and fine tuned the M3 software for a full year after that test file before releasing it. Honestly I'm sure both you can't go wrong really. Both have experienced people who know how to tune our cars.

I'm lovin' the Powerchip tune. The guys there are great to deal with.
I can't put it any simpler than that.

Rom3n: Are you guys willing to go head to head with us to see which software makes more power? At an independent facility of course. Please let me know!

It would be nice to compare AFR's and other info during testing. It would also be best to run both versions of software on the same stock car so fuel, mods etc wont factor into the numbers. If you would like to fly out we can arrange the dyno and supply a bone stock car for testing. Feel free to email me when your ready |

Cool beans!
Three points, first I agree with PG that the comparo would be meaningless without specific product and testing parameters. Second, I predict the comparo results will be quite close or very similar. Third, I applaud ESS and PowerChip for stepping for some professional and friendly competition! |

Now this is very ineresting !!!
All colective DATA is a must in this comparison , I wanna see what's safe and not so safe ... I had a tune from a company which I will leave out so don't ask, that had limp tourq limit reached and rich codes , felt powerfull but wasn't safe so I ended up ditching it and going supercharged ........ |
