Getting new rims.. Tire size?

Getting a set of 19x8.5 et40 & 19x9.5 et 35.. Was thinking about doing 245/35/19 up front and 285/30/19 in the rear on my e92 M3. It has standard edc suspension, any chance of rubbing, or is there a better combination to go with?

I think the width difference between the front and rear is a little too big, I wouldn't use 285 width on 9.5 especially if you are only running 245 in the front.

I think 255 is ideal for 8.5 and with some narrower tires like Vredesteins you could squeeze in a 265. Best to look at tire manufacturer recommendations and go from there..

The offsets on those wheels are horrible (12mm more conservative than stock) and I wouldn't run a 285 on a 9.5" wheel. You would need a 12mm spacer for them to look decent and a 25mm spacer for a more aggressive look. I would much rather run OEM wheels.

So do I need spacers too? What tire size do you think will be the most neutral?

You will most likely need spacers. I can't say for sure because I have never test fitted wheels with more conservative offsets than stock. The wheels are the same widths as stock so I would run stock tire sizes (245/265). Why are you considering wheels with improper offsets? My recommendation is to Keep your OEM wheels. What brand/style are the wheels you are considering?

These offsets are WAY off. I am not even sure you will clear the suspension with that front offset. Seriously....I STRONGLY recommend not using these wheels. You are looking at like 25mm spacers to get a nice fitment.

I guess 12mm spacers are neeeded all the way around to have oem stock fitment. The rims are P40 style and dont have a lip, so I think it should be okay. And I think I will stick with 245/265 tires. Thoughts?

It sounds like you bought cheap replica wheels with the wrong offsets. My thought is keep your OEM wheels and save your money. You are downgrading in every possible way. You now need spacers and lugs which will cost you another $200+. Plus you get the pleasure of dealing with bent wheels and vibrations due to cheap wheels that aren't nearly as strong and balanced as OEM.

I don't understand the point of spending money on downgrades...

So returning them is probably the best route? Will let the seller know they are coming home!

Why would you spend money on wheels that arent even an e92 m3 fitment. Return them...
