My new toy.....

Hi all,

Having been in the BMW fold for years, 1 x E34, 5 x E39, 2 x E60, 1 x E46, 1 x E87 and 1 x E90, I was getting really bored so back in May, I purchased a Porsche 996 C4S.

Well Porsche just wasn't the car for me, I love the looks of it, but I just couldn't seem to "bond" with it from a driving perspective, so decided to go back to what I know, but with a twist....

My first "M" car....

I collected this a couple of weeks ago....

2008 E92 M3 Coupe Manual

It's Space Grey with Novillo Palladium Silver interior.

I only ever buy cars with lots of options, so this one comes with:

19" M Double Spoke Wheels
Adaptive Headlights
Sliding Armrest
Bluetooth
Cd Changer
DAB Digital radio
Electronic Damper Control (EDC) - The most important option IMO.
High Beam Assistant
BMW Professional Loudspeaker System (Logic 7)
Front and Rear PDC
Heated Seats
Sun Protection Glass
USB Audio Interface
Voice Control

It's only on 19,000 miles and they are doing a 2year BMW Warranty on it, so worry free motoring for a while

Some pictures:

Nice car, how much did you pay for it as I'm looking for a 2008 with low mileage also. I presume you bought from a BMW dealer if u got a 2 year warranty. I have nothing to trade in when buying..

You need to budget around £30k for a good low mileage approved used one.

Strange colours are around £1k cheaper. Anything over 30k miles also reduces cost dramatically.

It's just like masturbation... You never actually forget how to do it.

1st modification ordered today.....

Was hunting around for ages, as I wanted to change the Kidney Grilles to black ones, but most of the stuff on eBay is cheap rubbish at massively marked up prices, they all seem to be Matte finish too, which is all well and good until they get a slight mark...

So, have ordered a set of the BMW Performance ones, which are High Gloss black, and at least the quality and fit will be good too. £67, not sure if this is good or bad, but I was happy compared to other stuff I've seen around. 2yr warranty on them too as they are OEM main dealer supplied parts.

Haven't yet managed to locate a good/genuine set of black side repeater grills....any ideas?

15 minute job to install them today (after I've just done a 250mile journey, hence the bug collection).

Looks a thousand times better with the OEM Performance Kidney Grilles!

This was also my first mod. Bought them from the Parts Dept when I collected the car and within 20 mins of getting home they were swapped out!

Now you need the Performance side vents to match, but they're rare as anything and I've sold mine so can't help you out!

Happy modding!

It's on 29,500 miles with BMW Approved Used Warranty until August 2013, and the £1000 oil service just done.
