Powder coating suggestions

I have been contemplating getting my ZCP rims powder coated to give them a little bit of an 'oomph'. I love the way the rims look so don't want to get an aftermarket set. Think changing the colour would be awesome though.

I have been thinking Satin Black because I love black rims (matte etc) but Satin should have a nice little shine. Don't quite want to do gloss black either. But I am totally open to other suggestions.

The thing is that my car is a weird colour so I'd like something that'll look good with it. It already has some black accents (grille, roof, window liners etc) so perhaps black is the safest bet but I am open to other suggestions.

Any pictures and stuff would be great help!

Here are a couple of pics of the car:

gloss black would look great on that color.

Also - have them painted, not powdercoated. Powdercoat is the more durable finish, but the heat cycling to bake the paint on will weaken aluminum wheels.

What color is your car? Hard to say exactly from the pics, but a very light gold/champagne might work.

+1

Lighter vs darker color. I think contrast looks better. Don't like dark rims on dark cars even though it's a thing.

Champagne would actually look really good. Different without being obnoxious or race car.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, appreciate it. The color is called brass metallic paintworks and my registration just says bronze. lol. Depending on where the sun hits it has a little different shade.

I dig that color! Not many of them. I'd go gloss black too...

OP, if your car is anything like this color, you definitely need to go a light gold/champagne color. There's no question, IMO.

My car is not quite that dark. I will try to get some better pictures perhaps. Depending on the sun it has a different shade to it. I am thinking gloss black might be my best option for the time being but I am still debating.

These are the winter tires not the zcp rims that will be powdercoated.

I think you'll be happy with a gloss or satin black coating. I think the bronze or gold would be too much IMO.

That's a good idea. I will try to see if I can get a colour that matches the closest to the trims like the grille, window trims etc.
