Rogue (DCT) Pulley Review

Hey all, I'm one of the first people to have the Rogue Pulley installed on a DCT equipped M3. It's an interesting set-up, as it comes with two pullies and two belts instead of the usual single pulley set-ups (ie: AA, Evosport). Honestly, I think it's pretty hard to feel an increase of 8-10 horsepower on a 400+ HP car. With that said, you REALLY feel the increased power "under the curve" and the car is much more responsive. In summation, I couldn't be happier with the performance. The fact that it's cheaper than AA & Evosport while providing more, is just icing on the cake .

I thought the RE pullies had been out for a while? Wasn't EAS advertising and selling these back in October?

Fill me in...I am confused.

Exactly right, they were a little late to the game with the DCT pulley.

Alright, its finally out! I was there around a month and a half ago and Ben was explaining some of the issues they were having with developing the DCT one as (and I can't remember the details) it had something to do with the belt running the reverse of the MT and then the 09 has a certain type of groove vs. the 08. What really slowed them down though is that they are moving to a new location, which is great news for us NY/NJ guys (they will have two extra lifts, a dyno, and a more extensive retail section).

Yeah, the response and torque bottom-mid feels much better. It finally feels like a V-8 in that range .

See that is so confusing. I am assuming this setup is the same for the 2009 6MT cars. I have the Evosport pulley, and I only got one pulley and one belt, and my pulley didn't look like any of the 2008 6MT pulley pics I have seen. I have a feeling I am going to change to the Rogue setup.

It's an awesome set-up. I honestly wasn't sold on spending the money on it, but a tuner buddy of mine persuaded me to. Glad I did now

wait, so why do you need 2 pulleys ? wouldn't it be more work changing two pulleys and you will get the same result as just installing single AA pulley ?

At a cost of having a belt available from a single source (AA). Replacement belts for the RE pulleys are widely available at any auto parts house. The additional pulley is simple to replace since the belts are already removed.

It's up to the end user from here.

I had the pulleys installed by EAS on 6/5. (M-DCT) What a great bolt on for added hp/tq. A noticeable gain between the power ban in the mid range.

EAS did a great job on the install...... Thanks Tom!

Those are year old dyno results from the 2008 6MT setup tom. Did RE do any dyno testing on the new pulley setup on a DCT or 2009 6MT?

Not yet, the gains should be very similar across the board.
