How to equal straightline speed vs. the C63

Just as the title says.

The major difference between the two cars in terms of performance seems to be straightline speed/acceleration. If thats the case why not mod to equal the playing field.

Im wondering what type of mods will be needed to match the c63 in terms of statight line speed. A breakdown of mods needed and total labor costs would be appreciated. Ive tried searching but all im getting are subjective opinions between the two cars. Thanks in advance!

If I'm not mistaken, with catless/HFC x-pipe, tune, pulley, filter/intake some have reported beating a c63 w/o the p31 package. To beat a c63 with the p31 you will need major mods such as a SC.

And here we go again....

probably not,

Intake +5
Headers +15
Exhaust +10 (max)
Pulley + 2
Tune = makes all the above possible

= +32 (probably the most you would get on all that)

414+32 = 446 crank...BUT your baseline torque is only 295 (no clue how much that would go up, probably only a little, maybe to 315) compared to the C63 in the 450 range, then factor in gearing, and even with the weight advantage, I don't think you could take a C63 w/o forced induction

Exactly. Damn buying a SC just to beat a C63 in a straight line? Should have just gotten a C63 if you're so worried about it.

Is this based on dyno testing with all mods installed or adding up the expected gains for each individual mod?

This figure was achieved by adding the mods expected gains. Dinan is very conservative with their gain estimates, so the numbers are pretty spot on. Other factor to consider is that all the m3 engines from the factory have varying actual hp/tq numbers not all will be 414/295. There is a variance of ~10% to 15%. A dyno test will be coming soon so we can determine the actual numbers of my ride.

Sorry not 10% to 15% just 10hp/tq to 15hp/tq. Approx.

Are these figures enough to beat the C63?

I'm thinking no, esp from a dig.

But roll, maybe?

OP should have bought the 63. Another bites the dust. lol

So why post this? Would this setup be comparable to a C63, or was this posted to show the maximum gains with just bolt ons? How much for all these mods including labor? Would the akra evo save more weight?
