start up kit?

was wondering if there existed any well known "kits" with everything I need all bundled up together to do the 2 bucket method. I have no knowledge on good products, shampoos, cloths, etc.. so any comment would help.

If you want a professional setup

here's a kit for you

http://www.detailersdomain.com/Grit-...tem_p_127.html
http://www.detailersdomain.com/1Z-ei...Kit_p_114.html

but if you want a cheaper setup, you can just buy 2 grit guards, 2 lowes 5 gal buckets. car soap, nice mitts, and MF towels

I'd skip the starter kit and just get the grit guards with some Lowe's or HD buckets. I'd also look at getting a foam gun or cannon....

I really like:

- Pinnacle Body Work Shampoo (Smells Great, day after washing your garage will smell like a pina-colada)
- 3D Nitro Seal
- Dodo Juice Yeti Fist
- Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush
- Leaf Blower to dry your car off
- If your looking at MF towels Autogeek sells towel kits with all sorts of different ones in them.

You really can't go with chemical guys they make everything for the detailing world about. I would say go on detailedimage.com and check out the reviews on all the products. They have a ton of reviews on all the best products so that should help narrow down what you want to buy

For me I would buy 4 buckets and 4 grit guards...
-One bucket with 2 grit guards for wash.
-One bucket with 2 grit guards for rinse.
-One bucket for lower panels.
-One bucket for wheels.

For MF towels the Micro Pak ones are the highest quality. As other suggested, a high quality (2) wash mitts and a couple Waffle Weave Microfiber Drying towels will help get you started. After you start with this you will notice right away " Ahhh I need _____"

Let me know if you need any help.

I went to Lowe's and got two 5 gal buckets. I got grit guards from detailed image I think.

A good mitt will go a long way, make sure to take care of it. I use different mitts for different things. I think I have like 4 different mitts. One for the upper panels, one for the lower, one for the front bumper alone (bugs and stuff), one for the wheels. I actually replace my mitts on a regular basis. There comes a time that they get dirty enough that they won't do any good and will just do more harm than good. But then again, if you buy cheap ones from Autozone or something it's not a big deal. I still get microfiber ones, and I do have a couple good ones I bought online that I use more often and really take care of.

Make sure to keep your MF towels clean. I think some of these sites sell a MF towel cleaning solution. Or you can just replace them regularly too. Up to you on how much you want to spend. MF towels aren't too expensive. A regular MF towel pack isn't too pricey, but if you start to get into the waffle weave large drying MF towels, it can get up there a little, so take care of them.
