Newb Tire Recommendations

Getting set up to start heading to the track - complete beginner. Had decided on going with Yokohama Neova AD08Rs - from what I've read would be a good tire to start on & good durability. Go to order and of course they are back ordered until it looks like late July. Any suggestions on a comparable tire to look at for a beginner? Running 18" x 10" Arc8s & was going with the 265s in the yokes since it looks like they run a little wider.

Thanks!!!

Great to see you taking the step to get out to the track! For your first event, whatever street tires you're running - so long as they are in good shape - should be fine.

But - Assuming that you're driving to/from the track, a good 200TW street tire will be more than enough for your first few events. The new AZENIS RT615K+ is a good alternative and have heard good things about them. At around $750 for the set, you can use the couple hundred in savings for another event. Hope this helps!

Thanks man, appreciate it. Unfortunately the tires that came on it are pretty toast. Will definitely take a look at those. Thanks!
