Why did you buy an E9X M3 over Audi RS4/5, MB C63 AMG or Cadillac CTS-V ETC. ?

We all Love our E9X M3s. But why over such strong competitions and newer models?

Personally, E92 M3 is the Best All around sports car in the world, hands down. The only car I can say that I can't wait to drive it again after I park it. It is the only car I can drive to office, track and daycare with much anticipation. Even in its 6th and final year of production (E92), it still looks awesome.

Can't wait to drive it tomorrow morning.

CTS-V was out because it is GM. Audi is out because no MT option. MB was out because no coupe and no MT option.

Aside from that said above, the ///E9x uses the 1st and last V8 engine before moving to the M4. Besides, I like the sounding of M3 than M4 but that's just me

AMG seems like more of a boring car, although the engine is a monster. never really was into them though.

CTS-V is to main stream for me, nothing really special about it either.

RS5 is probs the only car i would consider getting, although i am not sure about the AWD.

I like the E92 m3 manly because of the engine. high revving V8, the sound also i love. the M3 is prefect mix of luxury and performance. Its not a car you buy trying to go fastest for the money. i do hate that i got my M3 in 2013. would rather have it in 2008-2010 when was more on top....

The engine, M-DCT, comfort vs sport suspension that actually works (zcp), RWD (never owned before), and the M3 pedigree.

Was comparing between S5 and M3. S5 was cheaper, moonroof & exhaust sound slightly better. Decided to save up more for M3 because prefer BMW to Audi, BMW's iDrive over Audi's and more importantly overall look & performance of M3. Also added Akrapovic exhaust to car.

No regrets getting M3 over S5.

There's nothing that competes with the induction sound that comes from those ITBs, I can't think of one car that sounds the way this one does. Also responsiveness, all-around package, really everything.

Simple, because of the s65 and dct. While other companies have dual clutch gearboxes, other then Porsches pdk, nothing is near as good as our dct. Then there's the s65, it just revs, and revs, all while making one of the best sounds in the world.

Believe the C63 and CTS-V are quicker around certain tracks, more than you'd think.

Felt the M3 still has the best engine + transmission combo of the high performance sport sedan bunch, period.

It's the last of it's kind. It was the end of an era, an era that I wanted to see what the hubbub was about - and they were right. This thing is just that good.

S5 doesn't do anything for me I think it's pretty plain looking.
MB shitty handling and only automatic , would love the torque though
CTS V only one I would of gotten over the M3 as it is a better performance car, but i did not want a four door and do not like the looks of the coupe.

I went from a CTS-V to M3 and while the V is faster and a little more luxury on the inside, the M handles much better and is a far more spirited drive.
