Will my Winter 245/40/18 tires fit APEX ARC-8 18x10 ET25

Hi Folks - I have a problem. I recently got the StopTech Trophy 380 BBK installed and it clears my ARC-8 18x10 ET25 rim absolutely fine. The problem is I also have a set of VMR V710 18x9.5 ET22 Square winter setup which it doesn't clear.

If I install my winter tires 245/40/18 (SQUARE Setup) onto my 18x10 ARCs - will the tires fit or will they be too narrow?

how about if I order the APEX ARC-8s in 18x9.5 -- those should fit right ..? since my VMR V710s are also 18x9.5 ...

They will be really stretched but may be within spec depending on the tire. I run 245/40 on OEM 18s, but would rather find a narrower rear wheel (like another pair of OEM 18 fronts.)

I have stock 245/40/18 on Apex ARC8 18 x 9.5 and they are within the recommended tire width for the rim width but at the end of the range. Check the specs for your tire at Tire Rack. Probably 245/40/18 on 18 x 10 is not recommended, but kids stretch tires way beyond what is recommended. Of course stretched tires have stiffer sidewalls and that makes snow performance worse. You want some squish. I run 255/40/18 snows on the stock 18 x 9.5 rear wheels -- this size fits OK and works OK.

I'm planning to get Apex wheels for my winter setup. I think I will try to find 265 winter tires. I guess I should get the 18x9.5 et 22.

ET35 fits as well with 265 tires but it's more tucked in. If you want the flush look, ET22 is the way to go.

Ideally, I'd get a set of rims that I can put winter tires on and, if needed, put track tires in the summer. I run a square setup 275/35/18 for the track.

Which 18" APEX rim size should I pick so that I can fit 275 track tires and 265, or even 255, winter tires? Clearly, the smaller the width, the more winter tire option I have.

Thanks

The 9.5" ET22 wheel would work better for 255-275 sizes. Ideally you would run 10's for 275's and track use, but 9.5's square would work as well. Many do it, it just gives up a little bit of sidewall support/stiffness.

Great. Thanks. I will probably place an order soon.
