Wish I knew of a company that can get the perfect brewing temperature, perfect self-grinding consistency AND have a timer... I am fanatical when it comes to coffee. *sigh* I still miss my Technivorm though; even the name is catchy.

I just replaced my old Technivorm with a new one which actually HAS an off timer. I am okay with it not self grinding, I've got a good burr grinder but the "no timer" always made me crazy. Now if they could just make the cord come from the back instead of the side, it would be perfect (including the name).

I'm not really looking for an off timer since I shut it off after I get mine anyway, but I do want a coffee machine that that turns itself on, grinds the coffee, and heats it to 190 degrees just to simplify my morning routine a bit, because as far as I know, most machines only have 2 out of 3 of the features I mentioned at the most.

But dammit, even with having to wake up, blade grind coffee (too lazy for a burr), dunk it into a net filter and brew the coffee with distilled water was still worth it MUCH more than the average American's way of either tossing tap water and pre-ground Folgers into the paper filter of a Mr. Coffee machine the night before, or heading to StarSchmuck's .
