There's no need for me to rigg anything. Just showing the truth to fellow BMW enthusiasts.

A little update.
The G35 guy never showed up and the C32 AMG is at the shop because it got some body damage due to an accident. But my friend with the 335i wanted a rematch and "could swear the 335i is faster than the M3" after reading alot of threads on e90 forums. So a group of friends and we got together to do some more runs. We raced 4 times and ALL 4 races, the M3 beat the 335i by about 5 car lengths by mid 4th gear. On the way back to our friends house, we raced again. This time I let the 335i start first but the M3 caught up instantly and put another 4 car length or so by mid 4th gear. Sorry no video's because we all forgot the camera back at home. Now he's a true believer of what ///M Power is all about. Alot of E90 people say its a "Driver's Race" but out of all honesty from my first hand experiences... the M3 is faster. I've raced a good number of 335i's ranging from Sedans to Coupes and Auto's and Manuals... and have never lost to a single one. Stock for stock, the M3 is still a good amounts faster, and I've proven it over and over. We are going to get the G35 guy to come out and the C32 AMG as well next week. Will take video clips of these races. Stay tuned!!!

Here's a video of a 335i with PROcede, Exhaust and Cat-Deletes against a stock E46 M3 with 3.91 gears: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qs8wC6KFvQE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfy1BhgAalQ The geared M3 still pulls away. 4.10 gears for the M3 shaves off almost a full second from 0-110mph. We are eventually going to do this comparison as well. He will be PROceded and I will be equipped with gears shortly. :rocks:

Gears? Can you tell me what that is and how much it cost? Friend of mine has a 02 m3. I want him to have the 3.91 gears stated in the video so he can pull against my procede 335i. With downpipes and vishnu's 2.0 upgrade, 335i's should be putting down around 400whp and 400wtq (especially mine). Do you think that should be enough to pull on a e46 m3 with gears? I seen a video of a old school m3 with gears (only) pull head to head against Walked U's modded 335i. So the video is not a lie. If I had the money I definitely woulda got an m3 ( even the e46), but the 335i won me over with those little snails (less money for more gains).

The M3 wins with its tq on the high end vs the 335i on the low end plus the fact that its high end has a broader power range than the 335i.. but a proceded 335 putting down 360-380 hp.. should make up the difference.. even with the bigger gear.. it should be a much closer race than you think.

Hmmmm
From several mag tests, the M3 has no advantage whatsoever and actually 2 mag tests touted the 335i as being faster in certain parts of the upper and mid ranges.
Is it the tires? What would happen if the drivers where to switch cars here? Also, juuussssttt some SoCal info... White usually announces one's "Gayness." It's failry unanimous from my experience. Just my 1.5 cents. |

You are a lot better driver than the guy in the 335 I can tell by the way he holds the steering wheel he doesn't race often. I may be wrong but that just what I see. And if you know how to drive an M3 you can really make that thing move. I drove a M roadster the other day and that motor never fails to impress me, it takes a while to get used to the powerband coming from a 335 but once you do its nutts.. I would like to see you race a 6MT 335 if you can find someone who has one it would be cool too see. Second I wouldn't under estimate the G35 if he is a good driver and has the revup motor I think he has a good chance of beating a stock 335. Nice pics and videos though. Thanks.
