Audi A5/S5 facelift models revealed

All pictures and info above. As expected the S5 now gets the 3.0 unit from the S4. I think Audi have done well with the facelift although I don't like the fog lights. I think the S5 is starting to age and this is a nice refresh. The headlights/grille look great.

Not a bad facelift; however, im not sure if I like these new headlights more than the original.

It's ok.

I think the S5 is not as aggressive looking from the front as the current, and the rear lights remind me sorta of the new Jettas ... which is not a good thing.

I like the new look although sometimes I'm reminded of the new Jetta.

That's what I'm feeling as well. Not a good redesign. Out of all of em, the S5 cab and S5 sportsback look the best.

It's not bad.

At least the headlights are clean and make sense. Before it looked like they gave a kid a crayon and said draw some lines in a box.

Although, it has a little F20 1-series in it's front fascia. Around the inner side of the headlights and the front grill.

Not bad. The Christmas lights are gone, thankfully.

those accents around the fog lights look ugly on the s5.

Pretty drastic change for just a facelift imo, but I guess it's in line with all the rest of Audi's new headlight designs (A6, A7, A8).

i think the headlights look sick, but I don't understand why they are lowering the HP numbers, even though it is a more efficient engine... I don't think audi got the memo that HP figures are supposed to go up as new generations/facelifts come out.

340 to 333hp with a 20% fuel consumption savings would be worth it I'd say. Plus I've been reading the HP figure is underrated.

Yes, S5 gets 3.0 V6 from S4.

I heard it is pushing out around 350bhp. I think the main difference though is the torque has a wider band from like 3000 to 5000rpm. Good figures but it does look the V8 sound.

I'm surprised at the drastic changes to the front end when they weren't really necessary in the first place. The original headlamp shape suited the car's muscle car stance well, although I do like that they injected Audi's new corporate smooth LED eyes, even if they're not necessarily an aesthetic improvement.

I think the A5 got the better end of the deal this time; it needed more visual impact and had to differentiate itself from the S5 so it didn't just look like a cheaper variant. Speaking of the S5, I really can't stand Audi's new layered intake look around the brake ducts like they gave to the A6 S-Line.

Btw they've been giving the S5 cabs and sportbacks the SC 3.0 for a while now. I just got back from Aussie land and saw quite a few with the badges along the front fenders. Better engine with less soul; win and loss at the same time.

One more thing: you can really see the Chinese market's influence on modern German car designs. Just sayin.

Way to make this look even more boring and more like a Jetta.

A5 is getting a detuned version of the SC 3.0 TFSI and 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.

Very interesting. Could be a game changer for the A5 lineup.

Will Audi lower price the s5 since the car received the same engine as the s4.

Why?

A4 is less than A5. S4 is less than S5. Nothing changes that.
