"Poser" defined...

poser 1 |ˈpōzər|
noun
a person who acts in an affected manner in order to impress others.

---------------------

Yes, perhaps this space cadet got an M-Sport Package on his 328i, but what's up with re-badging his car with an ///M badge?

Despite the poser's lame attempt to sport an non-M, I can't help but also blame how loosely BMW continues to throw the letter around. Why not add it to the trunk? The owner of this car already has a zillion other ///M's all over the vehicle anyway!

There's so many threads on here flaming ppl with the fake badging...i could really care less. It is kind of dumb...and some people go over the top with it but I don't see why it deserves much reaction.

Some people are "Dreamers" or even "Wish for It"

I say let them dream or wish ... we all done it in the past long for something spectacular ... so I say let them wish for it someday it might come true.

Agree with OP ... the ///M badge is being distributed much to loosely as of late and there seams to be no end in sight. Oh well.

+1. This looks like an E93 328 Msport to me. Not a 128.

Yep.

Definitely a 3 series as the general shape of the car and tail lights reveal. And definitely an E93 as the seams are visible in the rear pillars and it has sharkfin on the boot lid.

I don't really mind the M, especially now that BMW will be doing it routinely from the factory.

Nothing wrong with this at all IMO. It says "m" and not "1m or m3" or any other specific car. He does have the m-sport package which is multiple m-tuned suspension and exterior styling parts.

no different than what bmw is now producing with some of the non-m "m" cars as recently described.

I think it looks fine and a nice car

Actually I'm surprised no one said "says the guy with a 1M" to the OP..

I'm not suggesting that there is anything wrong with an M-Sport BMW of any kind, but to re-badge it falsely?
What kind of a guy does that other than a poser? He's probably wearing a fake watch, too.

I wear fake watches... because they never last long anyways. IMO, there's nothing wrong with fake watches or putting on an M badge on a non-M. I don't care... I let people do whatever the hell they want with their own cars; they pay for it, not me.
