Looks like you either weren't at 38 hot or your car is extremely camber challenged. That's a lot of wear far up the sidewall. I got thousands of street miles out of mine and something like 8 track days on the e46.

The tire pressure is fine because I've taken temperatures at inside, middle, and outside of the tire and the distribution is pretty consistent.
I agree that I can use a few 1/10 of camber but definitely not severely challenged. Different driver, different car, and different set up, so obviously the outcome will be different. |

Come on. Those tires were not used optimally. If you rolled them over that far, your pressures weren't right. Doesn't matter what the pyrometer said. And I was kidding about the camber. Camber won't fix that.

This is perhaps a better picture. To be honest I think the roll over is minimal. Most likely from the out laps when the tires were cold.
Also keep in mind that these tires were driven several sessions by a race car driver flat out when we were testing the aero. Anyhow I am getting some new suspension pieces and will move to high -2.x or even -3.0 for my next set of tires. Currently it is at -2.5 front. |
