Garage List
2009 BMW  [10.00]
I got Advan RS, 20.4 front, 21.8 rear --- 9" and 10" which isn't bad. I wish they made it in 10.5" so I could fit 305's if I wanted to.

I thought the VMR wheels were made in China? Or so I heard.

Taiwan actually, at a reputable manufacturing plant.

I would strongly advise VMR to step up to low-pressure cast or flow-formed cast wheels.

I would also advise them to switch to the more durable powdercoated finishes instead of wheel paint. The costs involved in mass-producing powdercoated wheels in modern wheel manufacturing plants, has decreased in the past few years. It's at a point now, where it's actually more feasible (financially) than applying multiple layers of wet solvent paint. (which is less durable over time)

Other wheel manufacturers are stepping up with a better overall quality products, so VMR should seriously reconsider their continued used of the old outdated technology.

Many of the major wheel manufacturers that I deal with, are all starting to move away from gravity casting their wheel designs as well. (in favor of the two options listed above)

Successful and profitable business enterprises always adapt to the situation at hand, and are not resistant to change when it becomes necessary to do so. (in order to maintain their position in the marketplace)

Just my 2 cents...

I wasted a few hundred dollars (mount and balance/shipping/packaging) and weeks of downtime on my car.
My VMR CSL clearcoat in one wheel started peeling within 3 days of mounting in the car... got a replacement wheel in three months -no cost shipping back and forth- and then I sold them with the new wheel still in the box.

No more VMR wheels for me.

I had no issues with my VMR wheels, just that compared to the Apex ARC-8's that I now have, the VMR's are significantly heavier.
