RPi GT Exhaust Impressions?

I had a RPi GT exhaust installed a few weeks ago and I am asking some of the other board members who either currently have or have had this (rear section only) to give their impressions. Generally speaking, is this considered a "loud" exhaust?

My Views:
It is beautifully finished and installation fitment was top notch.

I can tell you that after making several videos using high end video equipment, that nothing really captures the true sound.

I also noticed that this car / exhaust combination sounds dramatically different under load versus the neutral revving. More so than any other car I have owned.

Overall I like it but it does seem to drone between 2k and 3.2k RPM. This makes driving a DCT in D mode really annoying because the shift logic keeps the RPM's in drone zone perpetually. Above 4k it sounds only marginally louder than stock.

I wonder if installing a stage 1 X-pipe which eliminates only the secondary cats would worsen the drone or possibly control it? Yes, I know cat removal will make the exhaust louder overall, but the drone is my main concern.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I do remember meeting you. I really like the sound but I am thinking about adding a x-pipe and I don't want to increase the drone.

I have the RPI, cat back exhaust on my car as well.. I guess there is drone, but honestly my ears dont really hear it. Maybe it has to get broken in a bit? Im not quite sure... Mine sounds awesome, and another member here heard it and was shocked at the reviews he heard, yet they didnt seem to match up when he heard mine. It sounds great to me... Did it go away or is it still there??

It's still there. Many on the forum have said exhausts actually get slightly louder as they wear in. I can't say for sure. A few owners have characterized this rear section as "loud" but I have only heard a few in person and can't make that subjective call.

Thanks for the reply.

Here is a clip of my car. Inside and out. Sounds louder inside sometimes.

I found that adding an x pipe that dropped the secondary cats made the drone WAAAAY worse on my car.
